About

Copenhagen art

Joanna (Aska) Mugford, a Polish-born artist now residing in Copenhagen, infuses her work with the vibrant energy of nature and the brighter side of life.

Her creative journey blossomed from a successful career in finance to a full-time pursuit of her lifelong passion for art.

Aska’s unique perspective, shaped by her multicultural experiences and love for the environment, shines through in her captivating pieces.

Working with traditional and digital media, Aska crafts eye-catching art that serves as a gentle reminder of our connection to the natural world.

Her creations not only delight the senses but also inspire viewers to embrace a more eco-conscious lifestyle, proving that sustainability can be both beautiful and trendy.

When not in her studio, Aska can be found exploring Copenhagen’s green spaces with her British husband, two teenage sons, and their beloved rescue dog. This close-knit family provides a constant source of inspiration, fueling Aska’s creative spirit and her mission to spread joy and environmental awareness through her art.
